About Us

Samhita is a Sanskrit word from the roots, sam (सं) and hita (हित), which mean “correct, proper” and “wholesome, arranged” respectively. The combination word thus means “put together, joined, or union” and the word yoga comes from the root yuj which means “to unite”, or “to join” as well.

At yogasamhita we attempt to bring together the various classical Indian traditions of well being that involve physical, metaphysical, practical and theoretical aspects like Yogasana, Pranayama, Ayurveda, Yogasutras, Anatomy and Dietary practices.

All of our courses, under the guidance of competent teachers strive to bring together a holistic understanding of physical and mental wellbeing through knowledge based learning and practical application through practice.
